Hi,

I receive notification of the new version of econa.

My subscription expires on 4-12-2024.

I can't download the new version.

Can you help me?

Thank you.

Hi Max,

Just checked and I see no issues. You should be able to download the extension. Can you please provide more information? Where are you trying to download from?

If you are trying to update using the Joomla updater you need to ensure that you have provided your download key.

Otherwise you can access all Econa downloads at https://www.firecoders.com/releases/econa/

Hello and thanks. entering the Download ID code did everything correctly.
I take this opportunity to ask you: is it possible to have implementations (which perhaps could also be useful to others)?
1 - We use it to make journalists upload images in a specific size.
We would need to ensure that the Joomla system remains active on some categories, is this possible?
2 - When an image is loaded, the image editor opens automatically, but in that screen only the zoom in + works, is it possible to make the - zoom also work. It happens quite often that the images we receive are very large and our journalists are not very familiar with image editing.

Thanks in advance for your kindly reply.

Hi Max,

I am glad that the issue has been resolved.

Regarding your questions:

  1. Are you talking about image size (width and height in pixels) or the actual file size (in MBs) ? What kind of restriction do you wish to apply? I also didn't understand the second part "We would need to ensure that the Joomla system remains active on some categories" . Can you explain this in detail?
  2. The zoom out operation has a limit. You can't have negative zoom level. It will make the image have blank parts. If there is an issue when editing large images, then this is probably something we need to fix in the UI, it's not related with the zoom level. When editor opens an image should be fully visible. If not please let me know so we can fix this.

Hi,

For question 1 we solved it differently. We included different aspect ratios beyond 4/3 and 8/5. But the question concerned the possibility of activating econa only in some categories of articles.

For question 2; yes the problem is that often the image is too large and it would be necessary to be able to zoom less.  Would it be possible to activate it? Thank you .

Thanks in advance for your kindly reply.

Hi Max,

Can you please provide more details? Large images should work fine in all screens when you try to edit them using Econa. We are actually detecting the screen size and we adopt the edited image in that size. Isn't this working for you?
