Dear Econa Support Team and Community,
We are encountering a critical issue using Econa 2.1.2 with Joomla 5.1.4. When copying articles where the Econa custom image field is not set, the web server enters an infinite loop and begins creating thousands of nested directories. This causes the server to become unresponsive, and only a restart resolves the situation.
Problem Details:
When the issue occurs, the system generates deeply nested and repetitive subdirectories, creating millions of files and folders in a short amount of time. This behavior leads to the following problems:
- Significant duplication of files and directories.
- A rapid increase in the number of files and folders, which severely impacts server performance.
- Backup processes take an unusually long time and cannot complete successfully.
Environment Details:
- Joomla Version: 5.1.4
- Econa Version: 2.1.2
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create a new article in Joomla.
- Leave the Econa custom image field unset.
- Copy the article.
The infinite loop seems to be triggered specifically when the Econa custom field is empty during the copy process.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Econa 2.1.2 and Joomla 5.1.4? Are there any known fixes, workarounds, or updates that address this behavior?
Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
Best regards,
Hannes
