Image does not show or preview

 When I upload an image OR use one from media manager I get this response:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()

This smells like Admin Tools to me. Is there any way these images could be placed into a directory so I don't have to allow access to all of /tmp/ ?

This was indeed Admin Tools .htaccess maker and can be overcome by adding tmp to the "allow all access except php files" to that directory.

I would still much prefer to use a different directory within tmp
