When using an econa custom field, we can add extra aspect ratios. But is there a way to only set 1 aspect ratio so the user is 'forced' to use this aspect ratio?

Hi,

Unfortunately this feature is not available at the moment. We will consider adding this at the future.

Hi! In addition to this question: Is it possible to set 'free' as the default setting for the aspect ratio?

Lefteris Kavadas
That's also something that it's not available at the moment. Until we add this you can achieve what you want by just editing a single file. If for example you are using Econa as a custom field you can edit the file plugins/fields/econa/fields/tmpl/image.php and set the desired aspect ratios at the select list named "econaAspectRatio". Of course, this is not a nice way, but it will work until we add those options.

OK, thanks for pointing me to this file. Not sure if this can be changed using a template override? Does that work on plugins? I could try... Changing the core file would aslo work but we have to change this every time econa is updated... Not sure if that's a goog idea in the long run;-)

Anyway, maybe this feature will be added in a future version some day? For now thnaks for your feedback.

Lefteris Kavadas
That's not an override that's why I wrote it's not a good way. However, it will do the trick until we add the option.

OK thanks!

Hi! Are you still considering to add this feature to Econa?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi,

Unfortunately we didn't make it for the last update. But yes, we will add it for sure. It's a very important feature.

Hi! Unfortunately the option to choose one aspect ratio for the Econa custom field did not make it to the new version... This is something we would really like to see in Econa. Can you implement this in a next version and do you maybe give an ATA for the next release?

Kind regards, Jip

Lefteris Kavadas
Hi,

We didn't make it for this release. This was an urgent release to fix compatibility with the latest K2 update. I hope we will make it for the next update.

Do you have a planning for the next release maybe?

Lefteris Kavadas
Hi,

The feature has been implemented. The update is coming soon. Thank you for your feedback.
