Hi! When we upload an image using the custom field plugin we see a preview of the image. I think the largest version of the immage is shown here? When we set the largest image to 1000 pixels this takes a lot of space in the article edit view in the backend. Is there a way to scale the view in the backend of maybe set this to a max width /height? Or hav an option to select one of the set imnages sizes?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi,

There is a maximum width of 1000 pixels restriction applied with CSS. Do you think it should be smaller? Something like 600 pixels?

Yes I think 1000 is a bit much. 600 would be better.

Or you could maybe create a plugin setting where a user can define this themselves?

We have to realize that changing the div.econaContainer also the edit functionality / area of the image is also reduced to that max width... Maybe that;s not what we want? Not sure if we could have a smaller preview, but still use the bigger edit area?

Yes this can be done. Which size do you consider a good choice?

I'm not sure... 600px is maybe a good size.
But maybe it would be better toe:
- Have a setting in the plugin somewhere so a site manager can choose it's own prefferd site.
- Detach the preview size from the edit windows size. And then also have a setting for this size? Or set this at max 1000 px?

Having an option for this seems like an overkill to me. The edit window can have a maximum width of 1000 pixels, I think it's enough for most cases.

You're probably right ;-)

It looks that changing the image size affects also the edit size. We will keep it as it is for now.
