Hello,

I do sites where people I do not know create new articles.
They rarely read the text (let alone a faq).
They can upload a 300px or 4000px image (without paying attention to size) to illustrate the article.

It seems important to them to download a minimum / maximum size before any processing that will generate different sizes / resolutions

Hi,

Do you mean maximum upload size? There is no limit to download.
The upload size does not matter because the image is being resized and the size is reduced.
Unless you mean something else and I didn't understand correctly.

Hi,
I understand that the image is being resized and the size is reduced.
It's hard to make me understand, maybe my bad English?

Caricature example:
Imagine (or try) that someone wants to download a very big picture with a low speed connection (ADSL, satellite ..). This will take too much time and the load will fail. He will think it's the fault of the website!

And if you change your program in the future, it could actually be a storage problem (web host) if too many people have sent large images.

I sent you by email an example that just happened to me in reverse (and who asks me another question?). The person sent a too small image ~ a few dozen ko. The result is not beautiful.
It's important, in my opinion, to allow us to define in the parameters a minimum and maximum size of the photos.

Although this is a matter of common sense, we will consider adding some rules for minimum image size ( or even better resolution).
The maximum upload size is controlled by your server's setting and cannot be increased by the extension. But again, we can add an option for adding a lower limit than your server's setup.
We will consider your suggestions.
Thank you for the great feedback you have provided.

HI,
Thank you for your consideration.
yes of course it is common sense for a webmaster but not for many users of the internet who need that prohibits them to download an image size too big or too light (as my example by mail)
