Hi!

In order to be able to create a lightbox popup on an uploaded image it would be helpful to also save the original image that was upload before the content plugin resizes is to the image dimension (simple method).

This way we could first place the image in the text and give it the needed size. Then add a popup / lightbox version that show the (unchanged) uploaded image.

Would that be possible?

As an alternative we coud (should) use the responsive method I guess. The original upload image remains when using this. But I'm not quit sure what happens if we put a 1000 pixels image in the article and then give it a size of 200px. What image version will be used to show the image in the article? The full immage? Or always only one of the set images / sizes? So we then can use the original for the lightbox popup?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi,

The browser picks automatically the size that's best suited for user's device taking into account the image display size and the screen density.

A lightbox is a kind of different functionality. In theory, you could add a very large image size and then create a link to that image size in the article layout override. Would this work for you? If so, we will consider implementing this.

Just to clarify, what I wrote before is the same functionality that you get with Econa custom field where you can select a size to be used in a modal. You can create a custom field and see how this works.
