Apart from importing a large number of images, another need would be to have a thumbnail of a home page or any url for a document type.
I do this manually and it is painful!
I imagine having a button on the page for creating / editing an article, with econa, which would generate the capture of the image of the url in the econa image field :-)
On a site I had a wp plugin of this type. I also bought a joomla component (ochNews) which did this but not in connection with the custom fields and I know there is a phatomJS javascript library!
I know that I have already made a lot of suggestions and that it is not even sure that you are interested but I will find that it would make a nice addon to econa. No competition with Joomla!
