Hi,

We have a small problem with modal popup images, when using Econa and hope you can guide us in the right direction towards finding a solution.

When we click a image to show full size in modal popup, it seems that the image just opens up in the window, but without option to close it in any other way than use the browsers back button. It open the entire image-url instead of the image shown in popup. See http://www.gintossen.dk/en/blog/110-creme-de-mure-what-and-how-to.html

We have created a override as described in https://www.firecoders.com/help-desk/econa/Ticket/55-replace-joomla-intro-image to be able to show just the intro image in category view and the main image in article view. But even when disabling this override, the issue is the same, so we are a lost as to where to find the problem with this, and hope you can help us.

Kind regards,
Henrik Holm Nielsen

Hi,

The jQuery library is loaded twice in your site. This is causing several javascript errors.

The module that is causing the issue is mod_instagram_photo_gallery . Since you are using Joomla 3, jQuery is already there. The module should use the bundled jQuery library and not load an extra instance.

Here are the options you have:

1. Update the module to it's latest version. The issue might have been fixed in the latest version of that module.
2. Check the module for any jQuery loading options.
3. Unpublish the module.

Let us know if any of the above solves your issue.

Hi,

Thanx for your response...!

You are right - the mentioned module is the reason. Unfortunately the only of your 3 suggestions working, is no. 3. I've tried using the developers support in other situations, and have unfortunately no reason to think or hope, they are able to make any difference in solving this.

I've tried using Jquery Easy plugin to solve the conflict, but it seems their module is not working at all, when using Jquery 3 alone.

So I'm gonna abandon their module, and see if I can find another instead.

Thanx for your help!

Cheers

You are welcome.

The fix in their module is really simple.

Just ask them to fix it.

Otherwise you can look for a different instagram module which is maintained and fully compatible
with Joomla 3. I am sure that there are plenty of them out there . If not let me know, maybe i build one :-)

Finally if you like our extension you can always rate it at the Joomla extensions directory page at

https://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extension/photos-a-images/images/econa-for-joomla-articles-and-k2-items/

Let me know if you need anything else.

I've asked them to fix it, and was told they would - but at the same time, I went out and found another module instead, as I wanted to move on and really don't expect them to do anything about it, in the short term... I hope I'm wrong - but moved on anyway.

Actually - maybe you should consider making one, because it was not easy to find one, that works perfect on responsive sites as well as looking good, at the same time. Either they looked like s*** visually, or did not work responsively, did not support multilanguage installations, or Joomla MVC framework. I ended up buying 4 different modules, until I found one working in all aspects :)

Thanx for your feedback - I've now reviewed on joomla.org :)

Cheers ;)
