Hi,
I just upgraded to Joomla 5.12 and my tag URL pattern "tags/{tagAlias}" doesn't work anymore.
Instead my tag URLs are like this: "component/tags/tag/{tagId}-{tagAlias}". Please refer to #1218 which was solved with version 1.9.12 of Route 66.
Thanks in advance and best regards
Malte

Hi Malte,

Just tested Route 66 1.9.12 under Joomla 5.1.2 and tag patterns work as expected. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Route 66 and that you have defined a URL pattern for tags.

Thank you for answering so fast!

I have installed the latest version and my pattern in Route 66 tag URL settings is "tags/{tagAlias}".

Even though it does not work as expected. Tag URLs are still as described above.

What else could be the culprit?

Malte Geschwinder

I can set the Tag URL pattern to any valid value, none has any effect.

Tag URL always is "component/tags/tag/{tagId}-{tagAlias}".

Please help!

Hi Malte,

Do other URL patterns work (for articles for example) ?

Is there any chance that you have disabled the plugin "System - Route 66" ?

If it is enable and this still does not work please create a new private ticket and provide administrator credentials so I can troubleshoot this.

Article URL pattern settings also do not have an effect, I guess.

PlugIn is not disabled.

Private ticket is on it's way...

Hi Malte,

I just checked your setup. I noticed that the plugin "System - Language Filter" is enabled. I also noticed that you have a single language installed.

I disabled that plugin for a while, I cleaned site cache and Tag URLs worked as expected. I am not sure why this does not work when multi-language is enabled, I need to troubleshoot this further.

However, if your site is not multi-language then I recommend to disable plugin "System - Language Filter" and then clean the site cache and everything will work as expected.

Wow! Thank you so much!

Confirmed. Works as expected again with disabled PlugIn "System - Language Filter".

I had once planned to make the site bilingual, but then abandoned that idea.
So the plugin was probably still activated.
