Hi,
I supplied my Route66 sitemap url in Google Search Console, but received the message "unable to fetch" from Google
I suspect this may have to do with either:
- my default Joomla robots.txt file blocking the components folder
- or Google not being able to find the sitemap.

Do you think I need to add the sitemap location configuration of the Route 66 extension in my robots.txt file? (Like this: "Sitemap: index.php?option=com....") If so, what is the exact location/url of the extension?

Kind regards,
Theo

Hi,

No you don't need to add the sitemap to robots.txt. What's the URL you submitted?

Hi Lefteris,
thnx for your quick reply! Apparently this was a false alarm, Google has indexed my site now. I don't know why they gave this "unable to fetch" message, it's okay now.
Kind regards,
Theo
