Hello
I would like the site to have urls with the name RUB1 or RUB2 that distinguish the subcategories
ndd.xyz/RUB1/ss rub1
ndd.xyz/RUB1/ss rubX
ndd.xyz/RUB2/ss rub1

ROOT
- RUB1
-- ss rub1
-- ss rub2
-- ss rub3
-- ss rubX
- RUB2
-- ss rub1
-- ss rub2
-- ss rub3
-- ss rubY

I tried to put {categoryPath} in Category URL pattern but I don't get what I want.

Is this possible, if so how?
If not, do I have to change the content architecture but then I will lose in SEO?

Hi,

If you are using the {categoryPath} token then you will get all the path. There is no way to exclude a category from the path.
What you are trying to do is a completely custom structure and you should use menu links for that. Or remove the root category from the category tree.

HI,
Ok if I understand correctly it is not possible to have the desired url.
I can't remove the ROOT because the home page of the site is in blog mode of all these categories.
The only solution would be to have menu links according to you. If I try, I have the impression that I can't get the desired url. Joomla automatically puts the last category and the parent category!
I may have misunderstood, I started from the menu type modules!

If I get my way, your extension (or any other one) does not allow redirecting old urls by "just" adding a term "RUBx"above the category

Joomla does not put anything automatically when you use menu items. You can define any structure you wish. Unless you are talking about article URLs.
Please clarify what are you trying to achieve so I can help you.

HI,
I will delete a parent category or change the term of a Joomla article category. The title of the article does not change. How to easily do a mass redirect without using rules in htaccess?
Part of the url to change:
/ruba/ by /rubb/
/rubx/ruby/ with /rubxy
If you have a suggestion but I imagine your extension or others would not do this?

Hi,

Route 66 can apply redirects for duplicate URLs problem of Joomla. For example it will redirect https://www.firecoders.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=24 to https://www.firecoders.com/joomla-seo.
When you change the menu structure it cannot apply any redirects automatically since there is no way to know the previous URL. For such cases, if you don't want to add the redirects on your server you can always use the core Joomla redirects component.
