Hi!

When we create a menu item that is linked to an article the URL created uses the menu item alias. Is it possible change this using route66 so that the article alias is used instead of the menu item alias?

Kind regards,
Jip

Hi Jip,

No, menu items take always priority. When Route 66 detects a direct menu item then it does nothing and let the menu item handle everything.
The only thing you can do is unpublish the menu item since you don't need it.

OK, thanks!

Sometimes we do not let our clients manage the menu. Just the content. Would it be possible to let Route66 use the ARTICLE meta description instead of the menu item meta description when a menu item is linked to a single article? That way our users could just add a meta description to the article without needing access to the menu(item).

EDIT:
I believe this is already the case ;-)
