I am getting a 500 Layout default not found error when I upload and try to save images to a gallery.  Can you let me know how I can resolve this?

Thanks.

Hi Adolph,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the “500 Layout Default Not Found” error when uploading and saving images to a gallery. This issue is typically related to server limitations.

Here are a couple of steps you can take to resolve it:

  1. Enable the “Pre-save Images” Option:
    - Navigate to the component options in your gallery extension.
    - Under the “Advanced” tab, enable the “Pre-save Images” feature.
This option is specifically designed to address such issues by optimizing how the server processes image uploads.
  2. Increase PHP’s max_input_vars:
    - If enabling “Pre-save Images” does not resolve the issue, the problem may be related to server limitations.
    - Contact your hosting provider and request an increase in the PHP max_input_vars setting. This adjustment allows the server to handle a larger number of input variables, which can help when uploading multiple images.

Please try the above suggestions and let me know if they resolve the issue. If the problem persists, feel free to provide additional details, and I’d be happy to assist further.

Best regards
