How can I reduce the size of the thumbnail photos on my site ? I have reduced size to 200 x 200 pixels BUT some of the thumbnails are so big they distort.

Hi Peter,

Can you please provide more details? Is there a link to a page with the issue? You can use the "Generate Images" button to resize all the images of all your galleries at once.

Hi Lefteris,
This is a page with the thumbnails that I refer to https://stainedglassworks.cloudaccess.host/index.php/my-window-cabinet-designs Using Generate Images button I have tried 3 different settings thumbnail image width and height, 200, 300, and 400 but the thumbnails are still very big on the page. When I click on a thumbnail, the size is excellent when it opens on the blank page but I find that the thumbnails are much to big. Can this default size be changed in the code?

Hi Peter,

Lets clarify some things first. The thumbnail size options refers to the actual size of the image not the display size. The display size of the thumbnail depends on the template of the site and the layout you are using.
In your case I see you have chosen to use the "Wall" layout that Showtime provides. This layout computes automatically the thumbnails size based on the space it has. In your case your images are very tall and that's why the result is not good.
You can do one of the following things:

1. Set the "Thumbnail Image Resize Method" option to "Crop" before generating the images. In this way the aspect ratio of the thumbnails will change but it will be the same for all thumbnails. The result will be better but then the "Wall" layout will look like a simple grid.
2. Just use a different gallery layout. This is what I recommend if you wish to keep the current aspect ration of the thumbnails.
